LG has just released another rock solid phone.  A simple slide out QWERTY keyboard make the Cosmos a text messaging champion.  The keyboard is a little on the small side and also set up a little funny, but definitely a sturdy little phone.  The phone has all the capabilities of LG’s more advanced devices such as mobile web and mobile IM without the requirements of a Verizon Wireless data package.

The Cosmos is a black bar style phone with a thin design.  It is just a little over half an inch thick, so it’s the perfect size to slide into a hip pocket.  Sleek style, compact design and the built-in social networking options make this perfect for a teenager, young adult and even the mature texter.  The Cosmos is currently selling to new and existing customers for $29.99 after online discounts with a new 2 year activation.

The new Palm Pre solves the age old question, OK, perhaps not age old, but at least generationally relevant, touchscreen or QWERTY keyboard? With the Palm Pre, you have access to a very large, crystal clear touch screen and a size-able QWERTY keyboard that makes the phone both functional and fun!

Palm Pre has some advantages that should make your life easier, or at the very least more streamlined. It has an ability to multi-task that is often unnoticed in its competition.

The phone has the ability to fully interface with Microsoft Exchange, Google and Facebook and unlike the competition, it does not require additional applications to do so! That said, the Palm Pre has no short supply of apps available. From games to yelp! to keeping your FourSquare friends in the loop, this phone will keep you connected.

To get down to the technical specs, this phone has a 3MP camera included, operates on the Palm OS and has the ability to accept additional storage on top of its 7 (user available) gig memory. This phone is available to Sprint subscribers at a new/upgrade cost of $149.99 after rebate.

T-Mobile has made the Samsung Behold II with Google available to its customers. This is a touch screen that is the newest generation of Google Droid. It has the ability to connect and interface to a wide variety of Google Apps and interfaces.

Samsung has long been a competitor of companies like Apple with their iPhone and this new model shows exactly why. The phone itself is based on Samsung’s long-standing tradition of quality phones, it has very good call quality, (always based upon the network as well), a longer lasting battery than their old Black Jack platform and continual usage of the Windows Mobile operating system.

This phone offers many advantage to most Windows Mobile phones. If you are a frequent Google user, you will know that the Windows Mobile platform sometimes misses out on functionality of programs like GTalk or even Gmail. In Windows Mobile 6.5, there were even reports of Internet Explorer mysteriously blocking text on the Gmail website. With this phone, you can rest assured, you will receive near full functionality of all Google programs.

The Samsung Behold II has many features that were missing from other Samsung phones, including a 5 MP camera that eliminates the less than great cell phone pics that everyone is used to taking. It also features up to 16 GB expandable memory, a media player and visual voice mail where available.  This phone retails for $149.99 for new or upgrade-eligible T-Mobile customers.
