Back when phone manufacturers are producing touch phones everybody was asking why Nokia Company is not producing their own versions. But now Nokia has produced several touch phones like the Nokia Touch and Type. This August 2011 Nokia announced another touch phone- the Nokia 500. It’s coming soon. Surely, you’ll find it quite impressive and adorable. Its dimensions are 111.3 x 53.8 x 14.1 mm, 73 cc and it weighs 93 g. Yes it has TFT capacitive touchscreen and 16 M colors. It has 360 x 640 pixels, 3.2 inches. It has accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and proximity for auto turn-off. Its sound alert types include vibration, MP3 ringtones, loudspeaker and 3.5mm jack. Its phonebook memory is limitless however its call records are detailed to 30 days call max. Its internal memory is 2 GB with storage, 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. It has micro SD that is up to 32 GB. Its GPRS and EDGE are both Class 33. Its 3G HSDPA is 14.4 mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 mbps. It has WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. It has Bluetooth and USB too. Aside from that the camera is 5 MP with geo-tagging and VGA@15fps.

Finally, there’s a phone that would fit non-techie people and those who cannot afford pricy cellular phones and that is Nokia X1-00 which only costs 40 Euro. It was announced last March 2011 but it will be soon out in the market. Its dimensions are 112.2 x 47.3 x 16 mm, 73.2 cc and weighs 91.1 g. It’s a TFT type phone with 65 k colours plus a 128 x 160 pixels and 1.8 inches size. It has dedicated music keys plus vibration, polyphonic (32) and MP3 ringtones with loudspeaker and 3.55 mm jack. Its phonebook has 500 entries with call records and a micro SD that is up to 16 GB. Unfortunately it has no GPRS and EDGE and not even 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB and camera. Its messaging feature is SMS only. It has no browser, obviously and no GPS. Nonetheless it has stereo FM radio, Flashlight, MP3 player, Organizer, Speaking clock and predictive text input. It has standard Li-Ion 1320 mAh (BL-5J) battery. It can last up to 1466 h in standby mode, 13 h in talk time and up to 38 h in music playing mode. This phone is obviously handy, easy to use and easy-on the pocket.
